Job Description: Administrative Intern
The Diocese is establishing this internship for recent graduates who are considering a full-time lay vocation in service to the Church. The intern selected will be an Episcopalian of active faith committed to the mission and ministry of the Church.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with office applications including Excel, Word and development software likeAccess or Raiser’s Edge
- Experience in team environment, office administration
- Warm, engaging phone voice/personality
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to work independently but know when to ask for help
- Detail–minded; excellence driven
- Goal oriented
- Comfortable working with diverse communities – age, race, socio-economic
Administrative Support
- Maintain telephone and electronic links to consultant, staff, volunteers
- Schedule appointments
- Arrange capital campaign meetings – Diocesan and Convocational
- Follow up and routine correspondence
- Answer questions, provide resource for campaign volunteers, prospects & donors
- Manage Constant Contact and Survey Method
- Assist Canon for Administration in financial accounting of diocesan accounts
Campaign Support
- Maintain campaign web site and social networks
- Oversee campaign mailings / communications
- Acknowledge gifts and oversee routine donor correspondence
- Assist with staffing campaign related events
- Provide support to campaign committees / volunteer leaders
- Provide support to Legacy Society
Management Information Systems
- Set up / refine data management system
- Gather and verify data – congregation and convocation based
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of data base – periodic update
- Manage files and create reports
- Support monthly and quarterly campaign report process
